Tuesday morning began with dense fog in many cities of Madhya Pradesh. IMD has predicted rainfall and hailstorm in parts of State from December 30 to January 4. It was bright sunny day in many cities, including Bhopal. While Satna and Datia recorded visibility limited to 50 meter, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain saw hazy weather on Tuesday morning. Vidisha, Raisen, Khargone and other cities also recorded dense fog. According to Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), new western disturbance is being activated in state from December 29 and this would be a strong system.
 
Beginning of New Year 2024 will be quite colder and dense fog. IMD has said that southern-western wind is blowing in maximum parts of state while north- east wind is blowing in Gwalior-Chambal region due to which dense fog is there in many parts of State. For next two days, fog will remain in State. Weather scientists said that after new weather system sets in state on December 29, Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain, Bhopal, Sagar and Rewa will be experiencing rainfall and snowfall. Indore, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur and Shahdol will be recording droplets. On Tuesday, minimum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 13.4 degrees Celsius, Indore 15.6 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 7.8 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 9.8 degrees Celsius and Ujjain 12 degrees Celsius.Maximum temperature in state capital Bhopal was recorded as 29.3 degrees Celsius, Indore 27.8 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 23.1 degrees Celsius and Ujjain 29.4 degrees Celsius.
