On his maiden visit to Jabalpur after being appointed as the Cabinet Minister, Rakesh Singh, on Thursday expressed his commitment to fulfill his responsibilities. During an informal talk with media, Singh assured that Jabalpur’s development is progressing at a rapid pace and there will be no compromise in ensuring the welfare of the city. He, while expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National President J P Nadda, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and all senior leaders of the central and state leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility of a ministerial position in the Madhya Pradesh government.
 
He pledged to work tirelessly for development of Jabalpur and the entire West Assembly. Singh acknowledged the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asserted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, all representatives from Jabalpur will unite to boost Jabalpur forward on the path of speedy development. Speaking about the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Singh urged all party workers to raise the flag of Bharatiya Janata Party in their respective areas. He said despite not having a BJP government in Madhya Pradesh last time, the party won 28 out of 29 parliamentary seats.
 
He confidently predicted a clean sweep in the coming elections, securing all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh and forming a BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024. On tragic road accident in Guna, where lives were lost, Cabinet Minister Singh expressed condolences to the victims’ families. He said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident and directed assistance to the affected families, ensuring proper medical treatment and support for the injured.
