ASMIRE - a search ofinnate talent by Somalwar

 

 

 

ESTABLISHED in the year 1911, by late G K alias Annasaheb Somalwar, with the blessings of Saint Shri Nikalas Maharaj, Somalwar Education Society has successfully completed 112 glorious years. This prestigious group has organised ASMIRE, Annasaheb Somalwar Memorial Initiative of Rewarding Excellence as a tribute to their founder Late Annasaheb Somalwar. This event is a self-less attempt of recognizing and rewarding the innate talent of students. It is an assessment of intellectual capacity and not the memorized facts. Though it is a competition, there is no prescribed syllabus thus students do not need any kind of preparation while appearing for the tests. It is planned in 3 phases in the month of December 2023 for classesVII,VIII, IX and X. Over 31000 students from 90 prominent schools of the city have enrolled for the event.

 

The event will give a much desired exposure to the participants. Phase I of the event is a screening test scheduled on December 6 across all the 90 participating schools. Students shortlisted from this initial screening will appear for Phase II on December 14 which is a major test. The toppers of Phase II will be finally assessed in Phase III on December 21 through innovative techniques like Teach & Test and Personal Interviews. After phase III, the final toppers from classes VII, VIII, IX and X will be recognized and rewarded with cash prizes worth Rs 2 lakh.
