Cabinet Minister Rakesh Singh, on Friday chaired a divisional-level review meeting in the conference hall at Collectorate. All Member of Parliaments, MLAs, senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary, Vinod Kumar, ADG, Chanchal Shekhar, Divisional Commissioner Abhay Verma, ADG/IG, Umesh Joga and others present in the meeting. Addressing senior officials, Singh said the meeting was organised following the directive of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav to bring efficiency in administration and ensure timely benefits to beneficiaries of various schemes of central and state governments under 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.' He said there should be no inconvenience to farmers in paddy procurement during the current season and strict action should be taken against those involved in irregularities. Irregularities in paddy procurement will not be tolerated, he added. Singh also addressed the issues related to law and order, including control of sound amplification devices at religious and other public places, restrictions on the sale of meat and fish in open markets and improvement of traffic management in cities. He invited public representatives to participate in government programmes.
 
Speaking on the occasion, ADG Chanchal Shekhar stressed the need to cancel bail for habitual criminals and take measures to increase conviction rate in heinous crimes. He also emphasized strict action against illegal sand excavation and transportation, illegal buying and selling of alcohol and activities of criminal syndicates. Later, MLA Ashok Rohani discussed the benefits of housing schemes, while MLA Abhilash Pandey stressed the need for strict control on the sale of meat and fish in the open market. MLA Neeraj Singh urged for proper electricity supply, resolution of low voltage issues and timely maintenance of transformers. MLA Om Prakash Dhurve called for rigorous action in areas such as fertilizer distribution, sanitation, Jal Jeevan Mission, road improvement, bridge construction and building construction. The MLA emphasized timely and quality completion of various projects related to public welfare.
 
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on implementation of central government schemes under 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, addressing issues of illegal excavation, Jal Jeevan Mission, electricity, road, clearing black spots, along with various other schemes related to agriculture. Use of drones for urea spray and timely completion of CM Rise School projects were also thoroughly discussed. ACS Vinod Kumar suggested holding meetings with Collectors and public representatives to resolve implementation issues of various developmental schemes. He urged all district officials, including those from different departments, to visit the field and address concerns of the public promptly. He also asked to investigate complaints related to canals and submit reports promptly. To stop illegal mining, Revenue, Mining and Police teams were instructed to work together with urgency. Kumar also stressed preparation of reports on obstacles faced in welfare projects, ensuring that concerned department officials submit them within a week so that these issues can be resolved on time.
