Jabalpur police remained on toes to curb organised crime in the district and succeeded in solving the heinous and sensitive crime cases in record time during the year 2023. Police have registered a significant growth in conviction rate in sensitive crime cases as conviction rate of district was 85.7 percent against previous year rate of 74.1 percent. Conviction in sensitive crime cases includes one death penalty, 23 lifetime imprisonment, two conviction of 20-years imprisonment and three others. Compliance with the directions of Chief Minister and Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters, Jabalpur police have identified total 70 habitual criminals for cancelling their bail applications in courts to put-up check on their anti-social activities while police have started a special campaign against trading and transportation of narcotic substances and seized narcotic substances amounting to Rs 2.64 crores, arrested total 102 accused in total 102 cases and seized 15 two-wheelers and 5 four-wheeler and other heavy vehicles this year. Police have disposed-off total 1397 kg Ganja, 1.12 kg Smack, 210-grams Opium and 2.90-kg Poppy Husk on the occasion of Drugs Destruction Day, on July 16.
 
Jabalpur police have registered total 13,112 crime cases against previous year cases upto 15,420. The numbers of murders were reduced to 66 against total 81 murders previous year. Total 73 attempting murder cases were registered against the numbers of 108 attempting murder cases previous year. Number of loot incidents also reduced from 57 to 31 during the year and theft cases were reduced with 388 against 502 cases previous year. Number of vehicle lifting cases increased upto 710 against 693 previous year cases. Numbers of rape cases were also reduced from 262 to 209 this year. Abduction cases were reported upto 517 against 581 cases registered previous year. Similarly, total 288 eve teasing cases were reported against previous year complaints upto 416 while police have registered total 335 house breaking cases against previous year cases of 429 house breaking and total 257 theft cases reported against 388 cases previous year. Police have registered total 1170 cases of Arms Act against total 923 cases previous year while numbers of NDPS Act cases increased from 66 to 73 this year and total 6538 cases of Excise Act were reported in comparison to 5712 cases previous year. Record numbers of 86,994 cases of Motor Vehicle Act were registered against 72,040 cases previous year.
 
Similarly, police have registered total 253 cases of Prevention Act against 217 cases previous year while total 4630 cases of Cr.P.C, total 30743 cases of 107/16 were registered and total 48 habitual criminals were apprehended under National Security Act. The year will also be remembered for special campaign against land mafia as the combine team of police, administration and civic authorities razed dozens of encroachments belong to criminals and land mafia on Government lands at different parts of the city and freed precious government land amounting in crores of rupees. District police succeeded in maintaining law and order arrangements during State Assembly Elections 2023 as no major crime case or nuisance was reported during polling and votes counting process. Law and order arrangements were also maintained during celebrations of festivals and communal harmony was maintained during religious celebrations.
