The BJP has scored a landslide victory in the State in 2023 elections. The party won 163 seats in the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, while the Congress won 66 seats. The BJP has sprung many surprises at several belts. In Gwalior-Chambal and Malwa region, the party has regained its bastion. ‘The Hitavada’s’ regionwise analysis suggests that this is a remarkable win for the party. Malwa-Nimar is being considered as power center of State’s politics. For BJP here is Gain of 15 plus seats in Malwa-Nimar regions. In 2018 the party got 32 and in this elections the party registered victory at 47 seats. It decimated Congress from key constituencies of the region namely Rau and Sonkatch. Jitu Patwari from Rau and Sajjain Singh Verma from Sonkatcha were defeated. BJP has made a clean sweep in Indore- commercial capital and biggest city of the State. It has won 9 out of 9 seats.
 
In Sailana, Bharatiya Adivasi Party opened its account. BJP performed well in Dewas, Neemuch, Burhanpur. BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya contested from this region. Ramesh Mandola, who has registered victory with maximum margin in this election, comes from this region. Gwalior-Chambal Region borders Uttar Pradesh, has eight districts- Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Ashoknagar, Guna, Morena, Bhind, and Sheopur. In 2018, but Congress won 26 of the 34 seats in Gwalior-Chambal in 2018, this time Congress could only managed 16. Scindia and Narendra Singh Tomar’s factor has made this region very crucial in this battle. Hoshangabad Lok Sabha constituency consists of Narsingpur, Tendukheda, Gadarwara, Seoni-Malwa, Narmadapuram, Sohagpur, Pipariya (SC), Udaipura assembly constituencies there is clean sweep for BJP as against 2018 elections when out of total eight seats of the region three went to Congress namely Udaipura, Tendukheda and Gadarwara. But this time BJP wrested all the seats. In legislative Assembly 2023: Narsingpur Prahlad Singh Patel (BJP), Tendukheda Vishwanath Singh (BJP). Gadarwar- Uday Pratap Singh (BJP), Seoni-Malwa-Premshankar Verma (BJP), Narmadapuram- Sitasaran Sharma (BJP), Sohagpur- Vijaypal Singh (BJP), Pipariya (SC)- Thakurdas Nagwanshi (BJP), Udaipura-Narendra Shivaji Patel (BJP). In 2018: out of eight seats three were won by Congress and five went in favour of BJP. Bhopal- the capital city of MP, comprises eight Assembly segments Berasia (SC), Bhopal Uttar, Narela, Bhopal Dakshin-Paschim, Bhopal Madhya, Govindpura, Huzur and Sehore. In the 2018 Assembly elections, of these eight constituencies, five were won by the BJP and three by the Congress.
 
Arif Masood (Congress-(Bhopal Madhya Assembly constituency)) and Atif Arif Aqueel’s victory has not surprised many as it was predicted. BJP’s Krishna Gaur won from the Govindpura Assembly constituency by clinching over 1,73,159 votes. Congress candidate Ravindra Sahu lost by a margin of over 1,06,668 votes. She is carrying forward the legacy of his father-in-law and senior BJP leader Late Babulal Gaur. Mahakoshal region- in its eight districts namely Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Dindori, Katni, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Balaghat and Seoni, the BJP’s count is 22 while that of the opposition party’s tally dipped to 16. Here, the Congress President Kamal Nath’s Chhindwara constituency falls. In 2018, the BJP won 13 seats from this region and the Congress was at 24, while one seat went to the BSP. Vindhya region- have 30 seats. the ruling party won 25 seats and the main opposition just five seats. In last elections, BJP got 24 and Congress had got five while one went to others. Bundelkhand- which constitutes 26 seats - This time, the BJP tally reached to 21 seats whereas Congress shrieked to only five seats. While in 2018, had sent 14 BJP, 10 Congress and one BSP and SP candidates each to the assembly in 2018.
