Wath replaces Sharma in Vid squad for Hazare QF

VIDARBHA Cricket Association’s Senior Selection Committee kept faith in the same squad which did duty in the league phase of the Vijay Hazare (One-Day) Trophy and qualified for the quarter-final clash against Karnataka to be played on December 11 in Rajkot. Jitesh Sharma, who performed well for India in the Twenty20 series against Australia that the former won 4-1, has been retained in the national squad for Twenty20 series against South Africa Sharma has been replaced by stumper and attacking batter Siddhesh Wath in a like for like replacement. Led by Atharva Taide, Vidarbha qualified for the knock-out phase of the tournament as Group B toppers with 20 points. They will be hoping to beat Karnataka, who finished second in Group C, for a place in the semi-final.
