INDIAN cricketers, led by Rohit Sharma, will be arriving in Nagpur for first match of the Four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy from Thursday. The players would be landing in Nagpur in batches and will hit the nets from Friday morning.
The first Test begins February 9 at Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha Stadium.
According to the training schedule, India will be doing their nets at VCA’s Civil Lines Stadium from Friday, February 3. After a gruelling two days of practice, the hosts will move to Jamtha for their final preparation from February 6.
The Australian team, led by Pat Cummins, would be staying and practising at Bengaluru initially. They will arrive in Nagpur most probably on February 6. Their practice session is scheduled from February 7 at Jamtha Stadium.
Meanwhile, the sale of tickets to the general public will be online through VCA’s ticketing partner Bookmyshow.com and the same will commence from Wednesday, 9 am onwards. Tickets can be booked on the following platforms: www.bookmyshow.com and their Mobile App. Each person shall be entitled to book four tickets only. The redemption centre for online ticket buyers will be located at the Bilimoria Pavilion, Civil Lines. The redemption centre will open on February 5. Tickets can be redeemed from 9 am to 5 pm till February 8.
VCA has reserved approximately 4000 tickets in the West Stand (Ground floor, Bays O, P, Q) for school students. The tickets have been priced at Rs 10 per ticket, per day and the same will be sold offline. The association has also reserved a certain number of tickets for differently-abled persons and their attendants. They will have to produce a government ID, certificate while buying the tickets.
