RTMNU eves’ handball team named

RASHTRASANT Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has announced a 16-member team for the All India Inter-University Women’s Handball Tournament to be held from February 21 to 25 under the auspices of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kochi. According to reports from RTMNU sports department, the performance of women’s team in theWest Zone Inter-UniversityTournament has been historic so far. In 2010, Nagpur team won the gold medal in the competition held at Latur’s Swami Ramanandatirth University. After that, from 2010 to 2018, Nagpur women’s team has participated in the All India Inter-University Tournament every year, winning a gold medal. The last gold medal was won under the leadership of Radhika Raut.
 
The varsity team had to settle for fourth position in 2021-22 and at third in 2022-23. Expectations are high from the team this time. The team: Prachi Hadke, Poonam Kadav, Karishma Dhurve (all Taywade College Koradi), Heena Saifi ( Jupiter College), Sejal Dhole (Institute of Science), Yashasvi Meshram,Vaishnavi Dhole, Aarti Umak (all Dhanwate National College), N Manisha (PGDT RTMNU), Indra Bechpal (St Vincent Pallotti Engg.), Sayali Kinhekar (New Arts College Wardha), Sandeepta Kumar (Nabira Mv), Harshita Lungikar (Kamala Nehru Mv), Arya Dumbare (Shivaji Science College), Kajal Badole ( JM Patel, Bhandara), Prajakta Bhalavi (Bajaj Science College Wardha Dr Indrajit Randhawa (Coach).
