The accused have been identified as Sachin Ramdas Mittal, a resident of Dagdi Park, Ramdaspeth and Balkishan Mohanlal Gandhi, a resident of Plot No. 131, Ladikar Layout, Manewada Road. The complaint was lodged by Rajesh Ramswarup Sarda, a resident of Plot No. 46, First Floor, Ramsons, Dhantoli. According to police, Mittal and Gandhi own Gladstone Infrastructure Company. In 2009, the accused had purchased the land of Sarda and registered a sale deed. The amount of Rs 2.85 crore was not paid to Sarda. Also, Rajesh did not return the Rs 30 lakh invested in the duplex scheme.

As a result, Sarda was duped by the accused of Rs 3.15 crore police said. An offence under Sections 406, 420 and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Sitabuldi police. Further investigation is on.
