BIG Ben Football Club clinched the IFFC Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial Cup Football Tournament which was organised by Indian Friends Football Club (IFFC) at its ground, the other day. In the final, Big Ben Football Club defeated Indian Friends Football Club 1-0 to lift the title. The all important goal was scored by Pranil Ghoshal.
Sujal of Big Ben was named as the best goalkeeper of the tournament while Shrav Karki was declared as best player of the tournament. Sahil Shende (IFFC) emerged as the top scorer of the competition. Amaan Siddiqui and Virat won the emerging players award.
In the girls section, Sneha Academy claimed the crown defeating IFFC 2-1 via tie-breaker. Malvika Tembhurne and Annie Anthony scored for Sneha while for IFFC, Sneha Uikey managed to find the back of the net. Former national-level footballer Kalpana Jadhav was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. President Nasir Siddiqui, Pranay Deshmukh, Aman, Atharva, Satyam, Amitabh Tembhurne worked hard for the success of the tournament.
Individual awards in girls section went to Annie Anthony (Sneha Academy, best goalkeeper); Bobby Gedam (IFFC, best player of the tournament); Rinky Yadav (IFFC, player of the final); Pari and Yashika (IFFC, emerging players from runners-up team); Tina (emerging player from winning team).
