RAIPUR,
Union Minister of Culture and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal described the Union Budget-2023 as the Budget that will propel the nation to be a global leader. In a press conference, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal stated budgetary allocation to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana increased by 66 per cent so that more homes could be built for poor families and to create opportunities for employment for labourers.
Meghwal called the Budget all-inclusive, but those who couldn’t understand the technicality of it are alleging MNREGA allocation has been curtailed, which is absolutely untrue. The initial MNREGA provision is based on review and supplementary funds will be allocated according to necessity after reviewing it again. The benefits of the increase in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana allocation will go to MNREGA labourers. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister is spreading confusion. Chief Minister needs to study the budget estimates of the Modi Government and the Manmohan Singh Government. MNREGA is a demand-driven scheme, so more provisions can be made in the supplementary budget if the demand increases.
Union Minister stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sentiment is to make Bharat world-leading through the Budget. The Rs 20 lakh crore provision for agriculture loan encompasses all castes of people in Chhattisgarh. Rs 15,000 marked for tribal regions after giving the status of special castes to 12 tribes.
The Budget also has provisions for hapless people stuck in Court cases and those who can’t afford the legal fees or have no one to help them out. These people can hire advocates with the help of the Government. Nation’s indigenous 5G technology is in front of everyone to see. Regarding Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, Arjun Meghwal stated Manmohan Singh had constituted a committee and the subject of state/centre’s contribution tabled in the parliament, some schemes settled at the ratio of 50-50 and some at 60-40 for the centre and states’ contribution. The committee had chief ministers of many states and the ratio of contribution by the states and centre was decided by the committee. Regarding discrimination, the Union Minister retorted, saying the Chief Minister was misleading the citizens. Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana and Crop Insurance Scheme belong to the centre. The agriculture loan of Rs 20 lakh crores will be distributed through societies to farmers of all states. Many times, states don’t implement these schemes, so the Centre has brought direct benefit schemes such as direct transfer of money under Kisan Samman Nidhi and Crop Insurance to the accounts of beneficiaries. In total, 30 railway stations in Chhattisgarh have been selected, and each station will be upgraded for a cost of Rs 15 crore. Union Minister was also accompanied by Member of Parliament Sunil Soni, MLA Ajay Chandrakar, State General Secretary Kedar Kashyap, former Minister Amar Agrawal and MLA Punnulal Mohle.
