Cottonfab expo begins at Bishop Cotton School Ground

Cottonfab-2023, exhibition of traditional, gorgeous and fabulous handloom items, is being conducted here at Bishop Cotton School Ground, Civil Lines, Sadar, Nagpur between February 3 and March 5. It offers golden opportunity to the visitors to buy beautiful cotton and semi silk collection. The visitors may buy handloom cotton and silk products from Cottonfab Exhibition and promote artisans and weavers of India. The exhibition has put on display intricate, hand-woven and authentic weaves in an attempt to revive the traditional art form.
There are 120 stall that are showcasing creations of artisans and weavers from 18 different States.
Traditional Chanderi mercerised cotton and silk in light weight and zari floral, Kashi (Banaras) brocades and Jamdani along with resham and zari work, and the Bengal Kantha embroidery together silk multi yarn embroidery, bright colours of Gujarat Ajarak print with natural colour with rust iron and vegetable colors and Rajputana fabrics of Rajasthan is available with Bagru, Dhabu, Sanganer and Badmer print, all these items are available in the expo.
The Tussar Kosa are the non-mulberry or wild silks famous of Patliputra (Bihar), Assam in natural colors, these varieties bring in contemporary designs, colours and weaves making them popular among all age groups, are also available, said Javed Alam, Organiser.
