Emergency medical room opened at Bhopal Railway Station

Emergency medical room was dedicated at Bhopal Railway Station on Wednesday with pioneering effort of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Saurabh Bandopadhyay and other officials. The medical room was inaugurated by group D women employee Anjani Bai and matron Baby Girija, who are retiring from service next month. On this occasion, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Dogra, Additional Division Railway Manager Rashmi Diwakar, Senior Circle Commercial Manager Priyanka Dixit and other railway staff were present. Earlier, Bhopal Railway has started medical facility at Bhopal railway station on February 29, 2020 but it was closed amid the pandemic. After this, railway officials were making efforts to restart the service. Concerned over the need of passengers, railway has tied up with Galaxy Multi Speciality and Maternity Hospital that would be providing a para medical staff and a doctor for 24X7 hours. There will be a bed, oxygen cylinder, wheel chair, stretcher and life support medicines. If any passengers feels sick before boarding the train or after reaching Bhopal station, he can avail medical facility. Besides, anyone travelling in train would be provided with doctors treatment at Bhopal station. A doctor will be available at station 24X7 hours. Charges will remain same as per Government rules (Central Government Health Scheme).
