NEARLY, 3.28 lakh students will appear for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Examinations-2023 to be conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) from March 1. Class 12 board (HSSC) examination under CGBSE are scheduled to commence from March 1. The examination will be held from 9 am to 12:15 pm in 2,408 examination centers established across State. The first paper of the board examination is Hindi.
According to the CGBSE sources, the board examination will be held at 2,408 centers, including 150 centers in Raipur. A total of 150 centers have been marked as sensitive in Naxal-infested areas of State.
Maximum 168 examination centers have been set up in Rajnandgaon, while there are 15 centers in restive Narayanpur district of State. CGBSE Secretary Professor V K Goyal informed that 50 examination centers have been set up in the highly-sensitive areas of Kanker and two teams each have been constituted at the district-levels and at the district education officer level to prevent use of unfair means in the examination. Besides, two state-level and division-level teams of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education will visit the examination centers. Altogether, six teams of the flying squads have been constituted in each of the districts to keep a check on unfair means. The board sources informed that the class 12 board exam will be held from March 1 to March 31, while class 10 board exam will be held from March 2 to 24, this year. Both the board exam will start with the Hindi subject paper. Altogether 3,37,000 candidates will appear in the class 10 board examination. The students appearing for the examination have been advised to reach the examination center at least half an hour before the examination commences.
