Jabalpurians participate in Rangyatra to celebrate Rang Panchami

People from all walks of life participated in thousands in number in the grand and historic Rangyatra carried out in the city from Chhota Phuhara to Gol Bazaar on the occasion of Rangpanchmi, on Sunday. People celebrated with their family and friends while enjoying delicacies, songs, music throughout the Yatra route. The Rangyatra started from Chhota Fuhara at 11 am and after crossing important thoroughfares like Miloniganj, Tamarhai, Kotwali, Sarafa. Kamania, Bada Fuhara, Ghamandi Chowk, Lordganj, Super Market and Malviya Chowk, it culminated at Shahid Smarak, Gol Bazaar.
The organisers made extensive arrangements to ensure that people enjoy the event with their family members in pleasing and safe atmosphere. Various institutions and organisations welcomed the Rangyatra on entire route. They offered delicious dishes, thandai, jaljeera, buttermilk, colddrinks, sharbat, pakode to thousands of citizens participated in the Yatra. Artisans from various literary, social and cultural organisations including Gunjan Kala Sadan also participated in the event.
At the end of Rangyatra, confectioners from Agra offered a number of tasty dishes to the citizens. Likewise, city’s Chaatwalas also provided chat-phulki to people. The Jabalpurians enjoyed the Yatra amid DJ, Band, Dhol and Dhamaal. Senior public representatives and office-bearers of various organisations said the Rangyatra has proved a milestone in spreading the message of peace, harmony, love and togetherness on the occasion of Rangpanchami.
MLA Vinay Saxena, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh and office bearers of Gunjan Kala Sadan extended support in organising the event.
