Opposition members staged a walk out in the Assembly on Tuesday, accusing the State Government of not following the rule saying that without prior notice condemnation motion as a non-official resolution against British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) was passed during Zero hour, which is against the rule. Leader of Opposition Dr Govind Singh said that during Zero hour motion cannot be moved. The matter was not brought before the House Business Committee for discussion. The censure motion against the BBC documentary was moved as a private member resolution by three-time BJP legislator Shailendra Jain and seconded by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra on Monday.
Disturbance prevailed in the House when Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “We come in power with people’s support. (pointing towards Opposition) He further said that facing a lot of trouble, MLAs had to cross the fence and here again they won with a huge margin.
Interrupting CM’s speech, Congress MLA from Chanchoda Laxman Singh raised the issue of corruption and fraud, citing example of Indore, he said that after eating up the banks, they are not returning the money. A club has been formed in Indore, named Hundred Club. The members of this club are those who have an expensive vehicles worth Rs 2 crores. “I’ll give you the list, will you take action”, he asked On this the Chief Minister ignored Laxman Singh’s question. During the Question hour, BJP MLA from Sironj Umakant Sharma looked angry. He said “I am being neglected. I am pleading with folded hands; don’t let the dictatorship of the officers continue. Sharma had raised the issue of land earmarked for CM Rise School in Sironj. He said that the place where the DPR has been made, it gets inundated with water during the rains. He also asked questions regarding the construction of a Sanskrit school building in his area. During Zero hour Surendra Singh Shera, an independent MLA from Burhanpur, raised the issue of rapid cutting of forest in Burhanpur.
