All India Renewable Energy Association (AIREA) conducted a member’s meet to discuss Maharashtra Budget and Opportunities in Solar. The event was held in association with BJP Industrial Cell and VIA at VIA Hall, Udyog Bhawan, Civil Lines, Nagpur on Saturday. Vishwas Pathak, Independent Director of MSEB Holding Company, was the guest of honour who joined the session on-line. Girdhari Mantri, President of BJP Industrial Cell, was the keynote speaker whereas Saket Suri, Director - AIREA, addressed the members and briefed the participants on growing business opportunities in the field of solar. Ashok Mendhe, Director - Engineering Projects India - GOI, Nitin Agrawal, special invite - VIA), MSEDCL RD Suhas Rangari and MSEDCL Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke also shared the dais with other dignitaries.

 

Vishwas Pathak said that several steps are being taken to promote solar in such a way that power costs would come down in coming days and farmers as well as other consumers could be benefited. Saket Suri appealed to the customers to opt for subsidy under national portal subsidy scheme. A subsidy of Rs 14,588 per kW is available on systems up to 3kW and a further add on subsidy of Rs 7,294 per kW is available on systems from 4- 10kW. A flat subsidy of Rs 7,294 per kW is also available for residential societies. Avtar Patel and Krunal Itankar were the programme co-ordinators, while Pankaj Khirwadkar proposed vote of thanks.
