Start crop damage survey immediately, ensure compensation to hail-affected farmers: MP Singh

Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh along with senior administrative officials, on Sunday visited the hail affected areas of the constituency and met farmers. Singh, on the occasion, asked officials to start survey work immediately and provide due compensation to farmers.
Singh visited areas under Patan Assembly and inspected the damages caused to the crops due to recent heavy rainfall and hailstorm in the State. He also inspected village Pauri, Rajghat, Mahagawan, Udki, Patna Hardua, Midki, Kakrehta, Mohla, Barbata and Murganwa villages and directed the officials to conduct survey and add the names of farmers, whose crops are damaged due to hailstorm in the compensation list and provide them due financial assistance at the earliest possible.
MP Rakesh Singh said due to hailstorm, farmers have suffered huge losses in many districts of the State and the natural calamity has also affected the farmers of Jabalpur parliamentary constituency. He said the State Government has announced compensation to all hail-affected farmers and they will be provided with due financial aid early.
During the inspection, Singh asked the officers concerned including SDM, Tehsildar and officials of Agriculture Department to start the process for compensation after conducting survey. Those present on the occasion were Subhash Tiwari, Bhupendra Singh, Nagar Panchayat President Amitabh Sahu, Satyendra Singh, District Panchayat members Pawan Singh Thakur, Bhagwat Patail, Sandeep Bajaj and others.
