Over 1.5 lakh register for grand Ahimsa, Swachhta Run on Mahavir Jayanti

 

 

On the occasion of pious Mahavir Jayanti festival, a grand Ahimsa and Swachchta Run to convey the message amongst denizen for bring peace in the society and cleanliness in the city and country. The mega event to be organised under the auspices of Jain International Organisation (JITO) and will be claimed to register in Guinness Book of World Records”, informed by Subodh Jain, Chairman JITO (MP&CG) while addressing a press conference, on Wednesday.

Subodh Jain informed that around 1.5 lakh persons have already registered their names to participate in the Ahimsa and Swachchta Run. The event will be simultaneously organized in Jabalpur and 67 other cities and 28 places in foreign countries. In Jabalpur, run will inaugurate at Kamania gate, on April 2, 6:30 am.

Addressing the press conference, Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu informed that the mega event of Ahimsa and Swachchta Run will not be limited for any caste or religion but people from any stream or age group may participate in the event to convey message of peace and cleanliness. Subodh Jain further informed that the online registration to participate in the run was closed on March 28 but there is no need of prior registration and residents may participate in the event without any registration. Besides this, the run there is no need to complete the run but presence of residents is valuable to convey the message of event. Organizing committee members have extended appeal towards residents to ensure their participation in the run for making it a grand success.
