Madhya Pradesh Government are doing injustice with the residents by increasing electricity tariff and monthly electricity cost hike in the name of fuel cost adjustment. Even after unanimous protests, State Energy Minister is yet to provide any kind of relief to electricity consumers. It is the responsibility of Chief Minister to ensure resignation of Energy Minister for his failure in management of State power sector.

This was jointly charged by senior public representatives, representatives of business organisations, senior citizens and social activities during a combine demonstration staged near statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Town Hall, on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu termed the State Government as insensitive towards public problems and it has no right to rule the State.

Nagrik Upbhokta Margdarshak Manch (NUMM), President, Dr PG Najpande informed that the State Government is trying to mislead the public in the name of only 1.65 percent electricity tariff hike as it will leads to inflation upto 9.23 per cent. On the occasion, Wakil Ahmed Ansari, MCCI’s Shankar Nagdeo, Deepak Sethi, Communist Party’s PK Bose, Rajendra Gupta, Varisht Nagrik Association’s RS Tiwari, DK Singh, Mahila Sangathan’s Sushila Kanogia, Anita Gontia, Uma Dahiya, Senior Citizen Association’s Subhash Chandra and representatives of several other political and social organisations were present.
