Combine team of Crime Branch and Lordganj police nabbed a vehicle-lifter and a minor boy and retrieved six stolen two-wheelers amounting to Rs 4 lakhs from them. The arrested has been identified as Anand Patel alias Kanhaiyya (23), son of Ramprasad Patel, resident of near Mateshwari Mandir, Yadav Colony in Lordganj and 17-year-old boy.
According to Lordganj police, during a vehicle checking drive, Crime Branch stopped a man named Anand Patel alias Kanhaiyya when he along with a boy was riding on a motorcycle. The rider failed in presenting any document pertaining to the motorcycle. Police held doubt and detained the suspected man for further investigation.
During interrogation, the accused broke out and confessed the stealing of motorcycle. In further investigation, the accused disclosed five more two-wheelers. On their identification, police have retrieved five more two-wheelers from the vehicle lifter amounting to Rs 4 lakh. Lordganj police have registered a case under Section 41(1-4) of Cr.P.C. and Section 379 of IPC while further investigations are underway. The vehicle lifter was arrested with active working of police team comprised of SHO, Lordganj, Sandhya Chandel, Yadav Colony Chowki in-charge, Dinesh Gautam, Crime Branch’s ASI, Virendra Singh, Head Constable, Sadiq Ali, Balgovind, Neeraj Tiwari, Prabhat Singh and Constable, Jaiprakash.
