Political leaders from city remember Dr Ambedkar on birth anniversary

A number of senior leaders and members of political parties paid tributes to Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, on Friday. They in large number reached Ambedkar Chowk and garlanded the statue of Baba Saheb.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP leaders said their Government is endeavoring hard to provide due benefits of Government’s schemes to each and every beneficiary, especially the last man in the society. BJP leaders said due to social inequality, evils started flourishing in the country and Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar did the most capable work to remove such evils. He contributed in bringing the society and classes together and in this way all are working together to take the country forward.

They further said Baba Saheb’s active social work and huge contribution for the upliftment of the underprivileged is still remembered by everyone. The BJP government imbibes the ideas given by him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working continuously for the development of last person of the society.

Congress leaders and workers also reiterated their vow of working for the welfare of poor and needy. Congressmen said they are standing by the poor and will continue to fight for their rights and welfare. Those also present on the occasion were MP Rakesh Singh, MLA Ashok Rohani, Sharad Jain, Sadanand Godbole, Ratnesh Sonkar, Congress leaders, Jagat Bahadur Singh, Manoj Seth and members of Seva Dal, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress.
