Renowned sant Kanak Bihari Maharaj and one of his disciples Vishram Raghuvanshi died in a road accident on Sagar Narsinghpur National Highway No. 44 on Monday. Another disciple Roopdayal involved in the accident is injured. Sant Kanak Bihari Maharaj had set out from Ashoknagar to Chhindwara in his vehicle. His car collided with the divider near Sagri village under Barman Chowki on the highway which led to death of the saint and his disciple. It is being told that this accident happened in an attempt to save another vehicle. Barman Chowki In-charge, Sanjay Suryavanshi told that Rupdayal son of Raghuvanshi, who was injured in the accident, has been sent to Kareli Hospital. According to the Kareli police, information has been received regarding the injured and he is being referred to the district hospital. Saint Kanak Bihari is the Guru of Raghuvanshi society. As soon as the incident was reported, people of Raghuvanshi community from all over the district are coming to Barman. It was the Guru who decided to give Rs 111 crore for the construction of Ram temple.
It is said that Saint Kanak Bihar Maharaj had taken a pledge to donate Rs 111 crores collected from Raghuvanshi Samaj for the construction of Ayodhya Shriram temple. Along with this, in February 2024, there was a resolution to perform Shri Ram Yagya 9009 Kundiya in Ayodhya, in which all the hosts were proposed to be from Raghuvanshi society. He was born in Khairai village of Nateran tehsil of Vidisha district. The biggest ashram is at his birth place. There is also an ashram in Loni Kalan Chhindwara. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath condoles saint’s death: After receiving the sad news of the death of the most revered Saint Yagya Samrat Sri Sri 1008 Sri Kanak Bihari Maharaj in a road accident, former CM Kamal Nath tweeted, “Guru ji’s departure to Devlok is an irreparable loss for all his disciples and devotees. Give place to the soul of Maharaj Ji at your holy feet Ishwar and give strength to his devotees to bear this sorrow. Om Shanti.”
