Fire breaks out in bushes at Nandini Airport area

FIRE broke out at bushes at Nandini Airport area in Durg on Wednesday morning. After receiving the information, the fire brigade squads from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) and Home Guard, Durg reached the troubled location immediately and doused fire completely. However, no one was hurt in the fire mishap.
According to the information, at about 11:30 pm on Wednesday, all of a sudden fire broke out at Nandini Airport area and started spreading with flames reaching high and emission of thick smoke. As per the information, on being informed the fire brigade squads from BSP and Home Guard Department rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the fire with pressing water tenders in to services. The fire fighting squads covered the area all around the spot for checking effectively the reoccurrence of fire. N Singh, Commandant Home Guard, Durg and District Fire Officer informed that it appeared to be mischievous act of antisocial elements or it could also be due to throwing of cigarette ends negligently. However, the agency concerned will finally establish the cause of fire, Commandant Singh added.
Public Relations Department, BSP officials informed the fire was occurred in bushes and it was doused timely by the fire brigade squad of the plant.
