Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday announced that Kamal Vihar would be renamed as Kaushalya Vihar.
Addressing the villagers during his Bhent Mulaqat programme at Boriyakhurd village under Raipur Rural Legislative Assembly constituency of Raipur district, the Chief Minister made various announcements including repairing of drains, sewer lines, chamber and other works at old Housing Board colonies in Kabir Nagar and Saddu, Rs 50 lakh for repairing of sewer seepage, chamber and other works at BSUP Colonies under Raipur Rural Legislative Assembly, opening of ITI at Birgaon, upgrading Government School Ganganagar Bhanpuri located at Ward 4 as Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Sarora High School to be upgraded as Higher Secondary School, Government Middle Schools Rawabhantha and Sondongari to be upgraded as High School, construction of boundary wall and beautification works to be carried out at Muktidham Saddu, additional rooms to be constructed at High Schools Urkura and Boriyakhurd, boundary wall to be constructed at Mahaveer Sports Ground Daldal Seoni, deepening and beautification works of pond to be carried out at Nagar Panchayat Mana Camp and Amlidih College to be named after Kaushalya Mata. The Chief Minister also performed boomipoojan for various development works worth Rs 126 crore and various development works worth Rs 36 crore were inaugurated. Baghel took feedback about the ground realities of the government schemes from several people in the Bhent Mulaqat programme.
Shyam Baghel, a beneficiary, informed the Chief Minister that he got fourth instalments under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Later, the Chief Minister also met the delegations of various social organizations. Raipur District In-charge Ravindra Chaubey, Raipur Rural MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Aijaz Dhebar, Chairman of District Central Co-operative Bank Pankaj Sharma, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Pramod Dubey, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal, Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayank Chaturvedi, other officials and public representatives were present on the occasion.
