No Trust Motion against Bhopal District Advocates’ Association’s President Kothari

 

 

The executive members have submitted a no-confidence motion against President of Bhopal District Advocates’ Association P C Kothari. In a letter written to the secretary of the association, around 20-25 members have supported for the no-confidence motion.

The members have accused Kothari of negligence in work and demanded his removal from the post. They also demanded from the secretary to call an urgent meeting of the executive members and put the proposal forward.

Ever since P C Kothari was elected as the president of the association, conduct has been going on against the dignity of the post, advocates have been neglecting and alleged malicious behaviour shown by him against the executive members. It has been visible from his behaviour that he has started focusing on his own interests. Because of this, the problems of the advocates are not being resolved due to which executive members propose no-confidence motion against Kothari.

On the other hand, P C Kothari, President of the District Advocates’ Association, has presented his side through a letter to all the members. In the letter he has given answers to the allegations being levelled against him. In the end he has written “if I am wrong, I assure the advocates that I will tender my resignation myself. I have no desire for this post”.

Notably, P C Kothari was elected the President of the District Bar Association in the elections held two years ago. Out of 3,875 voters, 3,250 voted for the future of 29 office-bearers and 53 executive members. Over 150 polling stations were set up. Apart from four-time president Rajesh Vyas, P C Kothari, Gyan Narayan Tiwari, Sunil Mishra and M M Salman were in the fray.
