A number of senior leaders and workers of BJP burnt the effigy of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday for making indecent and derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP leaders accused Kharge of making highly objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is not only the PM of India but also a global leader. They condemned the Congress for resorting to cheap mentality and using indecent language about the world’s popular leader.
It may be noted that Congress President Kharge during campaigning in the poll-bound Karnataka on Thursday reportedly compared Prime Minister Modi with a “poisonous snake”. He later tendered an apology for his remark and clarified that he was not referring to Modi but the ideology of BJP. Expressing great resentment on Kharge’s remark, BJP leaders said his behavior proves that Congress has poison in its blood and other leaders including Kharge are spewing the venom through their words.
They said due to Congress’s noxious behavior, the people of the country and the state are rejecting it completely.
However, the more the opposition attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the more his power increases and he takes the country forward on the path of development, added senior party leaders. Amongst the senior leaders participated in the protest were Vinod Gontia, Sadanand Godbole, Rammurti Mishra, Ratnesh Sonkar, Abhay Singh Thakur, Rajesh Mishra, Ravindra Pachauri, Shrikant Sahu, Ravi Sharma, Yogendra Singh Thakur, Amar Mishra and others.
