For boosting radio connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 91 FM radio transmitters across the country in which 18 states and two union territories, on Friday. The PM virtually inaugurated one FM radio station each in MP’s Panna and Katni. BJP State President V D Sharma thanked PM Modi for starting these two FM radio stations in the Parliamentary constituency and congratulated the local people. PM said that emotional connection with the countrymen was possible only through radio. Addressing the virtually, PM Narendra Modi said that today the expansion of FM service of All India Radio is a very important step towards becoming All India FM. The launch of 91 FM transmitters of All India Radio is like a gift to two crore people of 85 districts.
Prime Minister Modi said that he is soon going to host the 100th episode of the Mann Ki Baat programme on AIR. He said the deep connection with people all across the nation would not have been possible through any other medium than the Radio. Mann Ki Baat has harnessed the unique strength of the radio medium to reach out to the widest possible audience. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that the opening of 91 FM transmitters will be very helpful in transmitting information related to entertainment, sports, and farming to the local people. He also said the Mann Ki Baat programme has increased the popularity of radio.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Apurva Chandra and others joined the event. After the programme, BJP State President VD Sharma said PM Modi has launched 91 FM radio stations across the country. We are fortunate that two FM radios have been started in Panna and Katni of Khajuraho, my Parliamentary constituency. Along with the State, FM radio has been started in other places today. He congratulated the Prime Minister along with our Cabinet Minister Anurag Thakur and our Minister of State L Murugan, who is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. From community development to education and various types of information, FM radio will become a means of entertainment for the people of the parliamentary constituency in Panna and Katni in the entire Parliamentary constituency.
V D Sharma said that the historic episode of Mann Ki Baat will be the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on April 30. BJP Madhya Pradesh has identified 64,100 booths and specially 25,000 places. Where people who work for new innovative ideas by connecting different sections of the society with a festival-like atmosphere, sportspersons, young artists, farmers, organic farmers and people doing natural farming will be connected.
