A B.Pharma student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the hostel, police told on Friday. The incident occurred in Patel Nagar of Piplani. The student was standing on the third floor with his friend at around 7.15 pm on Thursday. Meanwhile, as soon as the friend went to the mess, the student jumped off the floor. He sustained serious injuries after falling on the ground and was undergoing treatment in hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. Sub Inspector Ramraj Singh told that Shreyash Mishra, (20), hailed from Katni and here he was pursuing B.Pharma (second year) from TIT College, Bhopal. His father Jaynarayan Mishra is a transporter in Katni. Police did not find any suicide note with him. His friends told police that the result of the student had come recently. Since then he was under stress. However, the police is probing for other reasons as well. Shreyash Mishra was the only son of his parents.

On Thursday evening, he was standing with his friend in the mess on the third floor of Anika Hostel. Mobile and water were kept on the railing of the terrace. Friend says he went inside the mess, then Shreyash jumped. He died on the spot. SI Singh further said that no suicide note was found from the deceased. Because of this, the reason for the suicide has not been clear at the moment.

In the initial investigation, the matter of tension regarding the examination is coming to the fore. Simultaneously, the mobile of the deceased is being seized and investigated. His call details are also being extracted, so that it can be known with whom he was in contact and with whom did he talk in the last moments. On the basis of this the investigation will proceed. On Friday, the police handed over the dead body to the family after getting the post mortem done after which the family members left for Katni to perform last rituals.
