Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has criticised former Chief Minister and BJP National Vice-President Dr Raman Singh over his comments regarding the Naan scam investigation. Baghel called Singh’s statement ‘ridiculous’ and suggested that he was not getting accurate information from top officials at the ED. The ED had informed the Supreme Court that the investigation is still going on, contradicting Singh’s earlier claims.

Baghel also responded to questions about the BJP MLAs’ proposed meeting with Prime Minister, suggesting that they should raise issues such as the payment of coal royalty, GST compensation, and the inclusion of the reservation bill in the ninth schedule. He also commented on an incident involving BJP MLA Brihaspat Singh allegedly slapping bank employees, stating that he would ask Singh to hold talks with the victim, who was reportedly a farmer. The Chief Minister questioned whether Dr Raman Singh had received any assurances from his party regarding the next assembly election being contested under his leadership.
