TOTAL 36 railway stations in
Madhya Pradesh have been
included under pilot project
for ‘One Station - One Product’
stalls by the Rail Ministry for
promotion of its vision of ‘Vocal
for Local’.
Under the head of scheme,
One Station-One Product
(OSOP) Stalls are being put-up
at selected railway stations for
sales promotion of a local product on priority basis. The pilot
project was started on March
25, 2022 and total 785 OSOP
Centres at 728 railway stations
have been started in 21 states
and 3 Union Territories under
the scheme. National Design
Institute has created similar
design of stalls to bring uniformity in design of stalls
throughout the country.
OSOP Scheme has been
started to provide a platform
and platform to local products
produced by different scheduled casts and tribes like artefacts, handicraft, handloom,
sculptures, fabrics, food items,
edibles etc. Selected railway
stations under OSOP Scheme in Madhya Pradesh include
Anuppur, Shahdol, Betul,
Multai, Amla, Pandurna,
Burhanpur, Khandwa,
Nagda, Ratlam, Devas,
Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior,
Bhind, Guna, Bhopal, Rani
Kamlapati, Narmadapuram,
Itarsi, Piparia, Gadarwara,
Narsinghpur, Jabalpur,
Katni, Katni Mudwara,
Damoh, Sagar, Maihar,
Satna, Rewa, Singrauli,
Dabra, Mahoba, Chattarpur
and Khajuraho. WCR has
provided a prime location for
OSOP stalls for desired promotion of indigenous products and materialising the
vision of scheme.
