An important meeting of City (District) Congress Committee was held to discuss preparations for the ensuing visit of Party General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to the city. Following the direction of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, senior party leaders attended the meeting and sought suggestions from local leaders and workers. Presidents of the City and Rural Congress Committees, District Coordinators, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress along with former Ministers and Members of Legislative Assembly took part in the meeting.
 
During the meeting, Chandraprabhash Shekhar, Vice President of the MPCC, extensively discussed and deliberated with party representatives, including Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly, Dr. Govind Singh, former Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot, former Speaker of State Assembly N P Prajapati, Hina Kawre, Vinay Saxena, Sunil Jain and other Congress leaders from Mahakoshal. He took suggestions and party leaders regarding arrangements for a public rally along with a roadshow on June 12, in the presence of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Party leaders and workers gave various suggestions regarding the venue for the rally, the route for the roadshow and the possibility of covering the maximum number of Assembly constituencies by the roadshow.
 
All the suggestions were recorded, both orally and in writing. Now, MPCC Vice President, Shekhar will present the report containing all the suggestions received from Congress members MPCC President, Kamal Nath, in Bhopal. At the end of the meeting, President, City Congress Committee, Jagat Bahadur Singh expressed gratitude to all party leaders and workers for attending the meeting.
