Guest faculties threaten to stage massive protest post June 15 for pending demands

 

 

“Even after rendering services since two decades, more than 4,600 guest faculties are skeptical of their future security due to apathetic working of the State Government. Guest faculties are fulfilling the parameters of University Grant Commission (UGC) for appointment as assistant professors but they are deprived of their rights. Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan played a tricky game with guest faculties by giving false assurance of soon regularising the guest faculties at the time of elections. Now the guest faculties have unanimously decided to fight for their rights by staging a massive demonstration and protest rally in the State Capital after June 15, 2023 for strongly pressing their demand before the State Government”, said Dr Devraj Singh of Sanyukt Mahavidyalayin Atithi Vidwan Niyamitikaran Sangharsh Morcha while addressing a press conference, on Monday.

Addressing the press conference, spokesman Dr Ashish Pandey and state convenor Dr Neema Singh charged the State Government for not fulfilling its commitment. The guest faculties are dedicatedly working for teaching, admission, examination, valuation, NAAC preparations and other works at their respective colleges throughout the state but the State Government and Higher Education Department have step motherly attitude with guest faculties. A large numbers of guest faculties are fallen out due to careless working of the Government and facing severe financial crises.

Senior public representatives include Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Ministers Narottam Mishra, Gopal Bhargava, V D Sharma and several other senior BJP leaders had given assurance for regularising guest faculties but failed in fulfilling the same. Now, guest faculties will stage massive protest and demonstration to get their right of regularisation in coming month.
