CAPTAIN Saket Gajbhiye scored a hat-trick to help Nagpur district thrash Ratnagiri by six goals to one in the opening encounter of inter-district Under-14 football championship. The tournament is being organised by Western India Football Association at Shirpur in Dhule. In the knock-out competition Nagpur scored goals at will as they took the lead through Abhimanyu Bhojne’s fourth minute strike. Ratnagiri managed to draw parity in the 10th minute through Prathamesh but that was the only time they could celebrate in the match. Skipper Gajbhiye scored first of his three goals in the 12th minute and Aryan Dhawne made it 3-0 for Nagpur in the 15th. Gajbhiye then bulged the net on two more occasions, first in the 18th minute and then in the 30th to complete his hat-trick. Praneel Ghosal scored the sixth goal for Nagpur in the 45th minute of play. Nagpur will lock horns withWashim in the next match onFriday
