Combine team of Crime Branch and Majholi police nabbed a bookie of Satta and seized cash of Rs 11,550, a mobile handset and record of Satta bookings amounting in lakhs of rupees from him. The arrested has been identified as Jogendra Singh Rajput (50), resident of Mudari Indrana village in Majholi.
SHO of Majholi police station, Abhilash Mishra informed that during a special campaign against gambling activities, Crime Branch received information about a man who was taking bookings of Satta. Acting promptly on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Majholi police started a search and trapped the suspected man red-handed when he was taking booking of Satta. In his search, police seized cash of Rs 11,550, a mobile handset and two pages of satta bookings.
Majholi police registered a case under Section 4A of Satta Act while further investigations are on to arrest other persons working in the Satta network. The bookie was arrested with active working of team comprised of Crime Branch’s ASI, Ajay Pandey, Constables, Ranjit Yadav, Satish Dubey, Pradeep Tekam, Indrana Chowki’s Head Constable, Mukesh Thakur, Constables, Anuj, Abhishek and Sainik Raghunath.
