WHILE overnight rains ruined start of a few games, Nayan Chavan made most of the opportunity tonking an unbeaten 204 for Medical Representatives Cricket Club against Reshimbagh Gymkhana in their league match of MN Dorairajan Invitation Cricket Tournament in progress at many venues across the city, on Tuesday. Coming at number five, Chavan faced 203 balls hitting 15 of those to the boundary ropes and six over it as MRCC piled 392-8 in stipulated 80 overs. He had two good partnerships — first with Punit Mohture (88; 118b, 10x4, 1x6) and then with Updesh Rajput (37). For Reshimbagh, the trio of Mohit Sharma, Om Dhotkar and Shree Choudhary took two wickets each.

In other games, Shantanu Chikhale (5-70) and Gaurav Dhoble (5-53) returned with five-wicket hauls for Navniketan Cricket Club and Indian Gymkhana respectively. The event is being organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association.
