Cops arrest five goons planning dacoity at Ranital petrol pump

Combine team of Kotwali and Lordganj police nabbed five accused when they were planning for dacoity at a petrol pump. Police have seized two country-made revolvers, a revolver, seven live cartridges, two swords, rod and 20 country-made bombs from the accused. The arrested have been identified as Rahul Raikwar alias Tinde Raju Raikwar (32), a resident of Padav in Lorganj; Rajendra Raju Raikwar (28) of Lordganj; Rupak alias Lula Govind Prasad Raikwar (33), a resident of Baldeobagh in Lordganj; Prashant Dwarka Prasad Upadhyay (43) of Niwarganj in Lordganj, and Gagan Kamal Singh Thakur (36), a resident of Cherital in Kotwali.

CSP, Kotwali, Prabhat Kumar Shukla disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday. He informed that, late night on May 28, police received information that some people laced with fire arms, sharp-edged weapons and explosives had assembled near a garbage heap Ranital Sports Complex’s boundary wall and planning for dacoity at Ranital Petrol Pump at around 2 am on Tuesday. Superintendent of Police, Tusharkant Vidyarthi constituted a team under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Priyanka Shukla and CSP, Kotwali, Prabhat Shukla.

Compling with the direction, three police teams led by SHO, Kotwali, Anil Gupta and SHO, Lordganj, Pratiksha Marco along with police personnel started a search and raided the identified spot and nabbed five persons including Rahul alias Tinde Raikwar, his brother Rajendra Raikwary, Rupak Raikwar, Gagan Thakur, Prashant Upadhyay and Anmol Mishra when they were planning for dacoity at Ranital Petrol Pump. Police have seized fire arms, ammunitions and explosives from the accused. Arrested persons have also disclosed that they have received the fire arms and explosives from Anmol Mishra who is still at large. In further investigation, police learnt that two of the arrested Rahul alias Tinde Raikwar and Rajendra Raikwar are habitual criminals and several cases against them are under consideration before the court. Police have registered a case under Section 399 and 402 of IPC, Section 25 and 27 of Arms Act and Section 3/5 of Explosive Act and started a rigorous search for absconding Anmol Mishra.
