Playwell emerge bridge champions

 

 

PLAYWELL were back at the top winning the duplicate bridge title on Sunday. The event was organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex in Shankar Nagar.

In 40 deals contest played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each, Playwell who enjoy the reputation of having emerged champions in many duplicate events in Vidarbha region, succeeded once again with a sizzling victory by scoring 74.49 VP. Their team consisted of S Chhajjed, Anil Mohota, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev. Team Axis finished runners-up with a tally of 64.18 VP. Their performance came from efforts put on by S Kulkarni, R Tambe and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali.

In IMP pairs event played on Saturday, M Hasabnis and L Madne duo emerged victorious. Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev walked away with second position. Amit Rewatkar was the tournament director for this brain game.
