SEONI,

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President and former Chief Minister, Kamal Nath, who reached Udepani village of Seoni Assembly to address Congress workers, said that every election has a lot of meaning and the elections that are held after five months have great significance. “Today in this election, it is in front of us how to keep our culture alive. There is no country in the world where there are so many religions, so many languages, so many castes. There are people of different religions in every village. So, brotherhood is the culture of our country. We connect hearts, connect relationships, keep the village connected. Today the attack on this culture has started, how to spread hatred, divide people.”
The former Chief Minister further added, “The Constitution of India is respected all over the world. But what will happen if Constitution goes into wrong hands? Hindi controversy in Tamil Nadu, Khalistan slogans in Punjab. What is happening in Manipur for the last seven days is know to all. Disputes, violence between different castes. So many people died in Manipur. Where is the culture of our country going? We all have to become protectors, this is the challenge before us.” Addressing the general assembly, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that in the 15-month Congress Government, two-and-a-half month had passed in the code of conduct of the Lok Sabha. The Congress did the work of waiving off the loans of 27 lakh farmers of the State in the first instalment.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said “I have an old relation with Seoni. It is very disappointing to see this today. There are no means of irrigation, no industries here. Not even engineering colleges. Youth are wandering jobless in Seoni, this is the biggest challenge. Seoni is my neighboring district, if I get support from here, I will connect it with Chhindwara. Seoni people lives on in hearts and minds. When the Machagora project was being made, I had asked how much water Seoni would get from the project. Many people of Chhindwara are also angry about this. Seoni did not get the benefit it was supposed to get from Machagora.” He alleged that the condition of the canals is bad, corruption has been done in the construction. Earlier, Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath was warmly welcomed by a large number of Congressmen on the dais. Kamal Nath welcomed people who took membership of Congress into the party.
