Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the farmer is not only the provider of food, but also the creator of India’s destiny. The sons of the farmer have guarded the borders. To make India strong, farmers have to be made strong. Whether it was the freedom struggle, the struggle of 1857, the Satyagraha of Champaran or the movement of Bardoli in Gujarat, the farmers shook the Britishers. Today, the presence of a large number of farmers in this Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh in Madhya Pradesh is heartening. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is doing miraculous work for development and farmers, poor, daughters etc. in the state. He is working whole-heartedly for the public. Today, I am seeing how much people love him. Defence Minister Singh was addressing the Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh in Rajgarh district. Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the Mukhyamantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojana, instead of Rs 4,000, the State Government will now provide Rs 6,000 to the farmers every year. In the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers get Rs 6,000 every year. In this way, now the amount received by the farmers will be Rs 12,000 annually.

The Chief Minister said that such families that own tractors will also be benefitted under the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. Tractor will not be considered in the category of four wheeler. The sisters of these families will also get Rs 1,000 per month. He said that fertilisers are available in sufficient quantity. The State Government will also pay the interest of three months for the advance lifting of fertilisers and seeds. He told the farmers that the procurement of moong at the support price would start soon. Union Defence Minister Singh and Chouhan, transferred Rs 2,123 crores in the accounts of 11 lakh farmers in the Chief Minister Farmers Interest Waiver Scheme-2023, (Contd from front page) Rs 2,900 crores in the accounts of 44.49 lakh farmers in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Rs One thousand 400 crore in the accounts of 70.61 lakh farmers under the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, thus transferring an amount of a total Rs 6,423 crore. Along with the farmers, a large number of sisters and daughters gathered in the programme.

Singh said that India is no longer a weak country. No country has the courage to raise its eyes and look at us. The people of India have faith in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. We consider all the people living on the earth of the world as our own. India does not attack any country, this is our character. We will not attack anyone, but if anyone attacks us, we will not leave them either. India can teach a lesson to terrorists and attackers not only within but outside the country as well. This has become evident from the decision of surgical strike by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Singh said that importance is being given to women in the army. Now they are not only joining the army in large numbers, but have also become ready for leadership. The flagship of a major naval warship is also headed by a woman. Sisters have an important role in building a new India. PM Modi has done the work of increasing the participation of sisters. Shivraj is doing miraculous work in Madhya Pradesh: Defense Minister Singh said that Chouhan has done miraculous work in various fields including farmers’ welfare. He remembers that when he came to Madhya Pradesh several years before on the invitation of CM Chouhan to attend the Kisan Sammelan, the farmers used to get loans at 4 percent interest, which the Chief Minister worked to bring down to zero percent. Chouhan has taken not one but many steps in the interest of the farmers. This is proof of his sensitivity. Like Prime Minister Modi, Chouhan is also providing charismatic leadership for public welfare.

The huge community present in this meeting of Rajgarh is also a proof that Chief Minister Chouhan has served the public a lot. Defense Minister Singh said that farmers are food givers, life givers and shapers of our destiny. Our country cannot develop without making the farmers strong. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has done an incomparable work for the farmers. Remarkable work has been done in various fields in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Central government has taken care of the village, the poor and farmers: Defence Minister Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has done wonderful work to make the Digital India. Payments worth Rs 29 lakh crore in the country are being done through mobile only. This is an example of digital revolution that today e-payment is being done even at vegetable shops. In the last 9 years, there has been concern for the village, the poor and the farmer. If a government works for the farmers, it is not doing them any favour. Agriculture welfare has been given priority. There should be no difference between our words and actions. The central and state governments have done what they said.

There is a world of difference between the works of the previous government and the present government. The same thing can be said for Madhya Pradesh also. Under the Jal-Jeevan Mission, the Prime Minister has resolved to provide water to every household. Madhya Pradesh has done excellent work in this field by providing tap water to 60 lakh families. The production of food grains has increased in the country. In the areas where India was ranked 6th to 10th in the world, now has come up to the first and second rank. There has also been a significant increase in the budget of the Central Government. The agriculture budget has also increased. Whether it is the question of construction of toilets or construction of roads, India is making steady progress. Chouhan started his address with the soulful words of “Kaisi Ho Meri Bahno”. The Chief Minister welcomed the Union Defence Minister in a special way. He said that Prime Minister Modi and Defence Minister Singh have played an important role in making India a superpower in the defence sector. There was a time when India was intimidated by small nations, now India has become powerful under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Union Defence Minister. The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi has completed 9 successful years. Common people are also congratulating him today. Tractor holder families will also get the benefit of Ladli Bahna Yojana In an important announcement, Chief Minister Chouhan said that now such families where there are tractors will also be benefitted under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. In the provisions of the scheme, it was earlier decided that the female member of the family having a four wheeler would not be eligible for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. Now the family having a tractor will also get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana.

Now farmers will get Rs 6000 per year instead of Rs 4000: Chief Minister Chouhan said that a large number of farmer brothers have come for the Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh. Today, the work of removing the burden of interest amount from the heads of the farmers has been done by the hands of Union Minister Singh. The previous government had put this burden on the heads of the farmers. Initiative has also been taken to purchase moong from farmers in the state. With the increase in the area under irrigation, the condition of the farmers has changed. Madhya Pradesh, which once had 7.5 lakh hectare irrigation capacity, has now increased upto 45 lakh hectare. The target is to take it further to 65 lakhs. Even in Rajgarh district, the previous government had not made any arrangement for irrigation. Even the people’s representative who was the Chief Minister for 10 years could not make this arrangement. There was no electricity supply. Electricity used to remain off for hours. Now Madhya Pradesh has become self-sufficient in the production of electricity. The previous government had not even made irrigation and road arrangements. The farmers were cheated. To give them relief, even their list was not prepared.
