FALCONS and Hawks blanked their opponents on opening day of the Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA) organised Nagpur District Masters Badminton League 2023 (Season 3) at Subhedar Badminton Hall, RTMNU Campus on Saturday. In the eight-team event, where each squad consists of 10 players with nine male and one female player, Falcons and Hawks had a great day winning all their RR1 games against Lions and Avengers respectively to bag two bonus points each. In the most interesting match (MD2) of Falcons vs Lions, the pair of Jovel Chandekar and Milind Ghadge went down fighting to Akash Agrawal-Jaideep Ram Sathe in three games. In MD3 of HawksAvengers clash, Dipesh Parmar and Ravi Rajgire bounced back from one game deficit to beat Madhur Mahajan and Nitin Thakre.

 

In other matches, (RR1) Bulls lost to Warriors 2-10, Titans bt Eagles 8-4. (RR2) Lions lost to Bulls 4-8, Hawks lost to Titans 4-8, Warriors bt Falcons 8-4, Eagles lost to Avengers 4-8. (RR3) Lions lost to Warriors 4-8, Hawks lost to Eagles 4-8, Bulls lost to Falcons 4-8, Titans bt Avengers 10-2. All the semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday.
