ACTING into the pouring in complaints regarding illegal activities, police teams carried out raids at Parijat Sector of Talpuri International Colony in Bhilai during wee hours on Sunday. After interrogating several persons the police rounded up 25 suspects including seven women. According to information, The police teams have also seized 14 unclaimed vehicles during the raid and checking in the colony.

 

Police sources informed that at about 4 am on Sunday, the police teams also comprised of women police officials and personnel, led by Sanjay Kumar Dhruv, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP City), carried out raid at the residential quarters of Parijat Sector in Talpuri International Colony, Bhilai and rounded up several suspects. The raid also revealed that some of suspects were living at the quarters at tenant without identity proof. The police brought some suspects to Bhilai Nagar police station for questioning. Bhilai Nagar Police Station officials are further investigating the matter. The police teams comprised about 100 officials and personnel including 8 Gazetted Rank officials (GOs), 15 Inspectors raided the colony and took suspects into custody.

 

Police sources further informed that while flouting the mandatory regulation the landlords indulged in renting their residential quarters without prior detailed intimation to police. As per rules, the landlord could not opt for renting houses or commercial establishments until complete detail regarding the tenant is not submitted at the police station concerned. While conforming details, Sanjay Kumar Dhruv ASP (City) informed that as part of crime prevention measures and on basis of complaints, police teams carried out raids and rounded up the suspects. In the raid the police teams have also took into custody absconding accused of cheating crime Jyoti Soni. Supela police are further investigating the cheating crime.
