BHOPAL,
IN A shocking incident, a man
in Bhopal was chained and
forced to bark like a dog. A disturbing video of the incident
went viral on social media
where the 24-year-old youth
can be seen tied to a leash and
being made to bark. Also the
accused were threatening him
with a belt and forcing him to
repeat as they say.
The victim youth was also
asked in the video to convert
to another religion. The matter came to light after the victim himself took to social media
and shared his story. He also
claimed that police took no
action on his complaint.
The video was shot on May
9, but the victim kept mum on
the issue until he felt he was
unable to bear their torture
anymore, claimed the 24-yearold in his message.
The State Home Minister
Narottam Mishra took cognisance of the incident and
ordered the local SHO Anurag
Lal to be sent to police lines.
Mishra condemned the incident and ordered the NSA to
be invoked against the accused.
Besides, the encroachments in
front of the houses of the
accused will be removed, he
said on Monday.
The police swung into action
following Mishra’s intervention
and arrested three of the six
accused and also took them
out in form of a rally near the
police station.
Assistant Commissioner of
Police (ACP) UmeshTiwari said
that the remaining three
accused of the case are
absconding and they will bearrested soon.
In the video, the victim canbe heard saying Sahil Bhai ismy brother and accused tell
him to say Faizan bhai is hisfather. One of the accused canbe heard forcing the victim toact like a dog for some objectionable social media post.
On the other hand the victim is apologising for somesocial media post and claimedthat he did it all on insistenceof one Shahrukh. He claimsthat he is ready to become aMuslim if they say so, in thevideo.
The video went viral onMonday and it soon triggered reactions from all quarters. Members of Bajrang Dal reached the
Teela Jamalpura police station and
demanded strict action against the
accused. On the other hand the accused
Samir, Sajid and Faizan were arrested
immediately and ate am of districta dministrationalsorazed their encroachment.
The victim informed police that he is
a resident of Lalghati and he was returning from a marriage on the day when
Faizan, SahilBaccha andSamirmethim.
They forced him tositon theirtwo-wheeler and took him to PGBT road where they
tied him to a leash. He said Bilal, Mukul
DIG and Mufid were also there and all of
them began assaulting him. They
snatchedhismobileandcashRs700-800
from his trouser. They threatened to kill
the victim and forced him to become a
Muslim and eat‘Bada’ashelacks courage.
The accused had shot the video of the
incident at the time, said police.
