India bags the second prize for the idea submitted by Shaurya Singh from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, for the her design project ‘Bio-Corridors’ Linking Habitats for Productive and Ecological Connectivity. Shaurya Singh is an under-graduate student from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Urban Design. The project proposes to restructure city centres and their living areas around the notion of ‘respect for living things’. In concrete terms, this means more room for soft mobility (bicycles and pedestrians), but also for plants and animals.
