“The economic activities in Madhya Pradesh are witnessing remarkable growth, pushing the State towards progress and prosperity. At the same time, the State’s revenue collection is also surging, affirming the Government’s commitment to development and public welfare,” said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ programme organised by BJP under ongoing Mahajansampark Abhiyan. Addressing a gathering of medical professionals at the residence of orthopaedic specialist Dr Ajay Seth, Chief Minister Chouhan stated that the substantial surge in revenue was a testament to the Government’s progressive thinking. He proudly shared that Madhya Pradesh’s per capita income, which previously stood at Rs 11,000, had now soared to an impressive Rs 1,40,000 per person.
This extraordinary growth is fueled by numerous ongoing initiatives and schemes aimed at public welfare. The Chief Minister while shedding light on the State’s budgetary advancements said when the BJP came to power, the State’s budget was a modest Rs 21,000 crore. He said year 2023 witnessed an impressive budgetary provision of Rs 3,14,000 crore, reflecting the State’s commitment to accelerated progress and development.
Underlining the State’s overall development path, Chief Minister Chouhan highlighted rapid industrialisation within Madhya Pradesh. The State has achieved a remarkable 24 per cent industrial growth rate, making significant strides in becoming textile hubs, automobile hubs, education hubs, IT hubs and food processing hubs. During the programme, Chouhan expressed his appreciation for medical professionals, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the well-being of people. He credited their dedicated efforts for rising healthcare standards in Madhya Pradesh, which have played a crucial role in the State’s ongoing progress. State BJP chief VD Sharma was also present at the event. He extended his gratitude to doctors and shared detailed information about the Centre and State Government schemes.
