Newly laid double line project between Mehroi – Vijay Sota on Katni – Singrauli rail block under West Central Railway got green signal for trains operation. Rail Safety Commissioner Manoj Arora approved the operation of trains on newly laid double line after the inspection of project work. Distance between Mehroi – Vijay Sota stations is 19.133 kilometre. Katni-Singrauli rail block is the busiest rail block following the operation of coal laden trains and the doubling of rail track will make the operation of passenger trains more convenient.
 
Rail Safety Commissioner, Manoj Arora conducted the inspection of section along with Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) and other senior officers of Jabalpur Rail Division include Divisional Rail Manager and Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination).
