Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has emphasised the dedication and commitment of individuals who prioritise the Congress party’s ideals while speaking at the inauguration of the Rajiv Bhavan and statue unveiling ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi at the premise in Arang. Praising Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahria said that construction of the Rajiv Bhavan stood during trying circumstances stood as a testament to Dr Dahria’s remarkable efforts, deserving recognition. Baghel speaking about the positive impact of the Rajiv Gandhi Godhan Nyaya Yojana said that it has initiated a ‘White Revolution’ in State. Over the four years of the Congress government, milk production increased by one and a half times, while the number of cattle also witnessed growth. Farmers who had abandoned agriculture were returning to farming, signaling a positive transformation. The Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana provided financial assistance to 24 lakh farmers in the previous year, and the upcoming season would benefit an increased number of 26 lakh farmers. The government also increased the quantity of paddy purchases to 20 quintals, bringing happiness to the poor and farmers. These efforts were helping fulfill the dream of prosperity envisioned by the state’s forefathers. The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh model, known for its emphasis on justice and the empowerment of the poor and farmers, gained recognition worldwide, surpassing the popularity of the Gujarat model. He claimed that the Congress party worked for the progress of all people, promoting simplicity, harmony, and love.
The government aimed to advance, preserve, and enhance Chhattisgarh’s culture and traditions, which had experienced decline over the past 15 years. Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge Kumari Selja expressed pride in the construction of the grand Rajiv Bhavan and the unveiling of Rajiv Gandhi’s statue. She emphasized that Rajiv Gandhi’s ideals would inspire the party, while praising Minister Dr. Dahria and Block Congress workers for their contribution to the construction project. Other leaders, including Member of Parliament K. Raju and State Congress Committee President Mohan Markam, commended Chief Minister Baghel’s efforts to deliver justice through various schemes and initiatives for the welfare of farmers, the poor, and laborers. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant evoked the teachings of Sant Kabir Das, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi, emphasizing the importance of love and unity. He commended Minister Dr. Dahria for keeping Rajiv Gandhi’s memory alive through his commendable work.
