Jabalpur’s Rifle shooter, Gautami Bhanot won Gold in Mixed Team Event in ISSF Junior World Cup being organised at Suhl city, Germany. Gautami teamed up with Abhinav Shaw to participate in 10 meter Mixed Team Event and occupied second position by scoring 628.3 points in both the qualification rounds.

Both the shooters displayed outstanding performance during final round and claimed Gold by defeating France’s Osane Mular and Romane Ofreno with the difference of 17-7 points. It may be mentioned that it is Gautami’s first world cup and she clinched Gold, bringing proud moment for the entire nation. The daughter of Aditi and Manu Bhanot, Gautami was recently selected in Khelo India Programme of Sports Authority of India (SAI). She obtains training under the guidance of Coach Nishant Nathwani at Gun For GloRY Shooting Academy since 5 years.
