Though earlier it was expected to receive monsoon shower by June 20 in Madhya Pradesh but the rainfall has been delayed at its entry gate Kerala, said the weatherman. Officials of Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) forecast that monsoon will be touching the shores of Kerala by June 8 and then reaching Madhya Pradesh by June 24 or 25. However, till arrival of monsoon, State will be recording pre-monsoon rainfall in several cities along with hailstorm and winds. Monsoon will be entering the State from Khandwa, Khargone and Burhanpur as last year too rain system entered the same way. Earlier, weather scientists forecast arrival of monsoon by June 4 in Kerala which is now delayed by four days. This would be affecting weather of Madhya Pradesh as well. In the year 2018, monsoon had entered in State by June 26. After a gap of five years, monsoon is entering in State by June 25.
 
Last year, monsoon had entered in state by June 16 and rainfall was recorded till October 14. Weather scientist J P Vishwakarma said that monsoon is expected to start its shower in Madhya Pradesh by June 25. On Tuesday, it was bright sunshine in Bhopal and temperature was above 40 degrees Celsius. After 3 pm, clouds covered the sky and drizzling was recorded in a few areas. Some parts of the district also recorded storm. On June 7, weather will remain the same in Bhopal.
 
Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Sidhi, Damoh, Khargone and other 11 cities saw day temperature above 40 degrees Celsius. Tikamgarh recorded highest day temperature as 444 degrees Celsius while Sidhi, Damoh and Khargone recorded day temperature 41 degrees Celsius. Pachmarhi recorded lowest day temperature as 34.6 degrees Celsius. Weather Department said that cyclonic circle is formed above South West Rajasthan and North East Rajasthan due to which rainfall will be recording in Sheopurkala, Dhar, Betul, Raisen, Indore, Bhind, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Neemuch, Sagar, Ratlam, Damoh, Seoni and Mandsaur along with lightning and thunder. There is no forecast of hailstorm.
